Why Installation-Only?
When you buy the flooring yourself, you pay the store's price with no contractor markup, and you choose the exact product, color and brand. You can compare samples at home at your own pace. We focus on preparing the subfloor and installing the floor correctly.
Where to Buy Your Flooring
Most customers buy from a local flooring store, a big-box home improvement store or an online supplier. Local stores usually offer more help choosing a product; big-box stores and online suppliers can be cheaper for common LVP and laminate lines. Before you buy, read the product's installation requirements and warranty terms, and send us the exact product so we can confirm the subfloor prep it needs. We are happy to suggest local suppliers.
How Much Material to Order
Measure each room's length and width, multiply to get square feet, and add the rooms together. Then add a waste allowance for cuts: often about 10% for straight-laid LVP and laminate, and more for diagonal or herringbone layouts and rooms with many angles. Check the manufacturer's recommendation for your product, order from one production lot if you can, and keep a spare box for future repairs. If you'd rather not measure, we measure during the free in-home estimate and tell you how much to order.
What We Handle
Once the material arrives, we handle the installation side of the job. Depending on what your estimate includes, that can mean removing and hauling away the old floor, checking and preparing the subfloor, leveling where needed, installing the new floor, stairs, transitions and baseboards, and cleaning up when we finish.
